Introducing the winners of our 2nd annual Magic Maker contest!
In February 2021, we launched our first Magic Maker contest and it was such a life-giving experience for us, we *had* to do it again. So for this year’s 2nd annual contest, our creative team chose three customers and their flavors out of hundreds of entries. Each flavor calls back nostalgic memories and beloved desserts; we can’t wait for you to get to know our Magic Makers and their ice creams!
CARROT CAKE - CREATED BY GUY SCHEIBNER
Carrot Cake is Guy’s favorite comfort food, a nostalgic connection point to family when otherwise connection was difficult, as a queer trans-man growing up in the South. This creamy caramelized carrot ice cream is swirled with out-of-this-world, delicious yet tangy “nuttercream” frosting, and studded with moist pieces of spiced carrot cake layered with a pineapple-ginger jam.
FOR THE LOVE OF LEMON - CREATED BY CHRISTINA ROTH
In loving memory of her sister and their bond over all things vegan and lemon, this sunshine-yellow ice cream is pure magic. A creamy, lemony base contains a vibrant, zesty lemon curd swirl and lemon shortbread cookies sprinkled with powdered sugar.
RISE & SHINE - CREATED BY JESSICA GREENBERG
Dreamed up by a lover of vegan ice cream and a mom of two, this flavor is inspired by making creative breakfasts for her toddler. A maple and roasted-banana ice cream is studded with pieces of our maple-vanilla waffle cone covered in chocolate and swirled with house-made cookie butter.
