Frankie (Frances) and Jo (Joanne) are co-owner Autumn’s late grandmothers. They were both so influential in her life that she wanted to dedicate and remember them in this way.

Our first scoop shop opened in November 2016 in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle!

We believe the term 'ice cream' is not limited to being made with dairy from an animal, and that plant-based ice cream is a force for good — inspiring people of all ages and backgrounds in creative ways to eat more plants.

Being certified as a B-Corp means holding our company accountable to our goals for sustainability, climate change, organic practices, supply chain practices, and tending to our team and community.

The answer to this question has many parts.

First and foremost, our ingredients and process set us apart. We love traditions of slow, simple, and nutritious food, and we create ice cream made from the purest, minimally processed ingredients, highlighting their beauty and protecting their integrity in the process. By keeping our ingredients list short, we are able to bring out natural flavors, colors, and whimsical combinations you truly cannot find anywhere else.

Secondly, all of our milks and bases are made daily, by hand, by us - almost every other ice cream company uses pre-purchased bases. If we are using oat or nut milk in the recipe, you can trust it has been made from just filtered water and either organic, gluten-free oats or sprouted nuts, from scratch, and churned fresh in our Seattle kitchen.

Additionally, many flavors of our ice cream are composed with superfoods, vegetables, whole fruits, or sweetened exclusively with alternative sugars such as Medjool dates, maple, and coconut sugar. Some of our most prized recipes are composed of the purest ingredients like organic cocoa, Mexican vanilla, or a nutritional powerhouse like maca or ashwaghanda. We believe in creativity, functional foods, and a touch of magic to create the absolute best ice cream on the planet.

We use ingredients that come only from plants, which means we are 100% vegan.
