Our seasonals this month highlight the magical bounty the Pacific Northwest has to offer this time of year: juicy stone fruits and plump, colorful berries.
BLACK FOREST CAKE: Tall layers of fresh cherries and moist chocolate cake? YES. This July seasonal is inspired by the well-loved cake, Black Forest. Creamy cherry ice cream is layered with fudgey dark chocolate eggplant cake and swirled with a zingy cherry jam.
PEACH BLACKBERRY SHERBET: A quintessential Pacific Northwest sherbet. The juiciest peaches from Collins Family Orchard and perfectly ripe blackberries from Sterino Farms are blended with a teeny bit of roasted fennel bulb and our house-made coconut yogurt for the most luscious summer sherbet you’ve tried.
SUMMER SHORTCAKE: Arguably one of summer's best and most beloved desserts. While typically made with strawberries, we actually love this shortcake with raspberries – typical is not what we do, anyway. Our biscuits are fluffy, layered, salty and buttery and are perfect with fresh Hayton Farm raspberries, made into a jam, all happily nestled in a coconut-oat ice cream.
