How to make: Classic F&J Affogato


CLASSIC F&J AFFOGATO - HAPPY NATIONAL ICE CREAM DAY! 

It's approaching National Ice Cream day, but we think our ice cream needs no occasion to showcase its versatility. We love the elegant simplicity of an affogato - minimal ingredients, minimal time, and we add some special toppings for that F&J magic. We hope you enjoy this one as much as we do...any day of the year!

 

Ingredients:

1 scoop F&J Brown Sugar Vanilla or Jamocha Chaga Fudge

2 ounces hot espresso, or strongly brewed hot coffee

F&J Supercookie Dough, Cone Shatter, Dark Cocoa, or grated fruit zest, for garnish

 

Equipment:

Espresso machine, pour over or coffee maker

Heat-proof espresso mug and drinking glass

Ice cream scoop or spoon

Zester, optional

 

Instructions:

Let the pint of ice cream soften on the counter for about 10 minutes.  Meanwhile, brew your espresso in your preferred method in a separate vessel. As the espresso is brewing, drop 1 scoop ice cream into a small drinking glass. Pour the espresso gently over the ice cream, and top with desired F&J garnish, shaved chocolate, or fruit. Serve immediately and enjoy!
